Joseph DeGioia, President of JDG Associates, Ltd. earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial Relations at New York University. Following positions with Booz Allen Hamilton and the recruiting firm of Alden Associates, he founded JDG Associates, Ltd in 1973. A highly regarded executive recruiter, Mr. DeGioia has a wide range of contacts in the management, research and technical fields. Mr. DeGioia is a founder and past president of the Maryland Recruiters Association. Paul Belford, a graduate of Boston College with an MA from Fordham University, joined JDG Associates in 1993. He has been a professional search consultant since 1990 and directs JDG's Association Search Practice. Mr. Belford specializes in the recruitment of Chief Staff Executives as well as the related fields of government relations, communications, membership, and finance. Prior to his career in executive search, he spent eleven years with PhRMA, a major Washington, DC-based trade association, where he was responsible for international issues management. Previous to PhRMA, Mr. Belford served twelve years with the U.S. government, most in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the Treasury Department. Darren DeGioia, a graduate of Boston College with a BS in Marketing, joined JDG Associates in 1999. In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer of JDG, Mr. DeGioia has developed a strong niche in the areas of Information Technology, Governmental Consulting, Accounting and Finance, Real Estate and Quantitative Sciences. In addition, he plays an integral role in JDG's Federal Government Recruiting Practice. Mr. DeGioia currently serves as Vice President and Treasurer of the Maryland Recruiters Association. Barbara Blim, who earned both her undergraduate degree and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, began her career in executive recruiting in 1974 and joined JDG Associates in 1991. Ms. Blim has developed a strong reputation in the recruitment of technical and management-level professionals, primarily for technology, engineering and communications clients. Earl Hopgood has been a professional search consultant with JDG Associates since 1983. Mr. Hopgood has conducted a broad range of executive search assignments for corporate and non-profit clients in both general management and technology fields. Prior to joining JDG, Mr. Hopgood was an Operations Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency serving management assignments in posts in Asia, Europe and at CIA headquarters. Mr. Hopgood received his Masters degree from Harvard University and his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Maryland. Tiffany McCarty joined JDG in 2005, and has rich experience in human capital. Most recently she was with Stanton Chase International, a retained executive search firm, where she served clients in for-profit education, publishing, financial services, and technology industries. Ms. McCarty earned her BA in Communications from the University of Denver. Walter Sczudlo, who joined JDG in 2008, holds an A.B. in English from Middlebury College, a J.D. from Golden Gate University, and an LL.M from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Sczudlo concentrates on executive recruitment for nonprofit organizations and associations, specializing in fundraising and leadership searches. Prior to joining JDG, he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the Association of Fundraising Professionals where he provided career guidance and counsel to a wide range of nonprofit professionals. Mr. Sczudlo has a strong reputation as a leading authority on philanthropic ethics and fundraising compensation. Jennifer Moss, who earned her BA at West Virginia Wesleyan College and MA from West Virginia University in Corporate Communications, joined JDG in 2007. From her prior experience as Associate Director of Admission & Alumni Relations, Ms. Moss has developed a strong background recruiting within higher education. In addition, she served as a Staffing Specialist in the Finance, Accounting and Information Technology arena.
